This flow shows a new add on that customers will see during tax filing

The project

Expert Final Review is a brand new add on offering, allowing DIY tax filers to get expert help without upgrading to a fully expert assisted product. We needed to design both an offer screen and an entry point to the Expert Final Review experience.

The process

We iterated on multiple layouts, consulted with many cross functional teams including business, legal, and tax. Working with a design researcher, we conducted user testing throughout the process to ensure our designs were hitting the mark.

We tested early design explorations to learn how the content and visuals resonated within the context of an offer card

We proposed two versions of the offer screen based on learnings from research and on performance of design patterns for other offers

Considering the full product flow, we had to consider cohesion with our design system, balancing disruption to drive consideration and the momentum of the customer experience, while making sure not to cannibalize other offers.

The result

A product flow, ready to test in a live environment, that satisfies all stakeholders, and serves customers with a value-add option to give them more certainty and peace-of-mind, especially in high-FUD potential moments.

For launch, the team decided on the comp chart design pattern. An interstitial confirmation screen allowed us to solve for legal and dev constraints.
