Creating a brand for an internal marketing design agency

The project

Our marketing design team functioned as an internal agency, always punching above our weight. We needed to create a brand for ourselves that would elevate our image within the larger organization.

The process

I partnered with a visual designer to tell a story about who we are on our best days, and who we could be in the future. We worked closely to identify our team’s niche (serving a B2B business unit), and our team’s unique strengths.

We began with inspiration, creating a mood board, and concept sketching

After iterating and landing on a concept, we presented the story of our concept, Pro Shop, beginning with powerful identity statements to create emotional buy in.

The result

A brand identity that elevates our creativity and craft, that delights in play and excellence, and that embodies the spirit of teamsmanship.

Finally, after the foundational story was laid, we shared a visual identity for Pro Shop, that included concepts for team swag, workspaces, and a color story that fits with the values and attributes we wanted to elevate.
